How much coffee is ground for each level of coffee strength?
For Caffeo® SOLO® the following amounts of coffee are ground for each coffee strength. approx.:

1 bean -> 7.5g
2 beans -> 9.5g
3 beans -> 11.5g

How much coffee is made depending on the position of the water quantity dial?
By turning the water quantity dial  you can set the amount of water for your coffee anywhere between 30ml and 220ml. Turn the dial to the left for less coffee. Turn it to the right to get more coffee.

The cleaning and / or descaling programme will not start
Ensure that the appliance is turned off at the beginning of the cleaning or descaling process.

After grinding, the bean symbols in the display flash
Too little or no coffee has been ground. Fill the bean container with new coffee beans. Start the brewing process again.

The symbol for the valve lights up out of turn
There is air in the pipes in the interior of the appliance.
Fill up the water tank if necessary and press the button for coffee strength. The pump in your appliance has now been reactivated. After successful venting you can start to make coffee again.

If the symbol continues to be illuminated follow the steps below:

1. Check if the water filter is in place and remove it if necessary and carry out the process described above again.
2. Clean the brewing unit following the appliance's instruction manual and carry out the process described above again.
3. Carry out the cleaning and descaling process for the machine and then carry out the process described above once more.

The symbol for cleaning and the ready symbol flash alternately
The brewing unit may not be correctly in place. Unlock the brewing unit then lock it in place once more. If the symbols still flash remove the brewing unit and lock it into place again.

The display indicates that I should fill the water container although it is already full
a) The water tank may not be in the correct position.
Ensure that the water tank is correctly clicked into position in the holder at the back..

b) The float which shows the water level may be stuck.
Remove the water tank, empty it then shake it to free up the float.

The brewing unit will not fit back in place after being removed.
The motor might not be in the correct position. Check if the water tank is filled and if the drip tray is in place. Turn the appliance OFF and then ON again then press the buttons for one cup and for two cups at the same time for more than 2 seconds. The motor will move into the correct position. Insert the brewing unit again and check that it is correctly locked in position.
